What to Expect
Our Happy Feet program is designed for our 4 and 5-year-old (2021 and 2020 born) players! This program focuses on foundational development areas including physical literacy (ABC’s), dribbling, social development, teamwork, and most importantly, building a love for the game.
These areas will be developed through adventurous and engaging activities that help link soccer with fun. Sessions will be guided by a lead staff member, with support from junior coaches and volunteer parents.
“Developing a love for the game is our main priority throughout our U4–U6 ages. A love for the game and a desire to come to soccer will set the stage for kids to begin their soccer journeys in the next phase of development. Through the promotion of relationship building, understanding teamwork and developing a foundation both physically and technically, we believe that this will be the best way to keep kids playing the game.”

Our Fundamentals program is home to our 2019 born players! In our Fundamentals program, we will slowly integrate specified topics that will help the kids further their soccer development as they graduate into our Foundation Phase programs (Under 8–Under 10).

What to Expect
Our Fundamentals program is designed for players born in 2019 who are beginning to transition into more structured development. This stage introduces important technical topics such as ball mastery, dribbling, passing, and shooting through engaging, play-based sessions that keep soccer fun and accessible.
The goal is to build upon the foundation laid in our earlier programs (Sidekicks and Happy Feet), while gently preparing players for our Foundations Phase programs (U8–U10). Sessions are designed to connect fun and learning to help develop both confidence and skill.

Our goal for our Spring Break Camp is to have fun, develop skills, and enjoy time outside playing the game we love. During the soccer camp, players will engage in activities designed to build confidence, improve technical skills, and encourage teamwork, all in a positive and supportive environment.

What to Expect
Our Spring Break Camp is designed to give players a fun, active, and positive soccer experience during the break. The focus is simple: have fun, develop soccer skills, and enjoy spending time outside playing the game we love.
Throughout the camp, players will take part in engaging activities designed to build confidence, improve technical skills, and encourage teamwork in an energetic, inclusive, and age appropriate environment. Players of all skill levels are welcome.
Each camper will receive a TC United shirt on their first day of camp, which they can wear throughout the week.

Spring Soccer Fitness Academy (U9–U17)
What to Expect
The Spring Soccer Fitness Academy is a player centered program designed to support long term athlete development and progression within the sport. This curriculum integrates targeted, evidence based training to build the strength, speed, power, and movement efficiency required at higher levels of competition. This academy focuses on developing the athletic qualities that directly transfer to match performance while helping reduce common non contact injuries in youth soccer.
Led by Sheri Hanson, TCU’s Strength & Conditioning Coach, sessions are tailored by age, gender, and ability, and emphasize:
- Strength & Mobility: Building muscular balance and joint stability at the ankle, knee, hip, and core to support performance and durability.
- Speed, Power & Agility: Acceleration, deceleration, and multi directional movement training that reflects the true demands of the game.
- Movement Technique: Refinement of sprinting, jumping, landing, squatting, lunging, and change of direction mechanics.
- Neuromuscular Control: Balance, coordination, and body control training to improve efficiency and reduce injury risk.
This program is ideal for players looking to progress through competitive levels and establish the physical capacity needed to train and compete consistently.

Community Kicks is for our Under 11–U18 players looking for a more recreational and local option to play with a game day model, and players receiving one game per week in a 7v7/8v8 format.

Community Kicks (Under 11–U18)
What to Expect
Our Community Kicks program is designed for players born between 2015 and 2008 who are looking for a more recreational and local way to enjoy the game. This program emphasizes enjoyment, participation, and community connection through weekly small-sided matches.
Players will participate in one game per week in a 7v7 or 8v8 format. The program will use blended age groupings to form balanced teams and ensure a positive game-day experience. Depending on registration numbers, the format may follow one of two models:
- Option 1 (Ideal): 4 teams to create an in-house league for every age group. Parent coaches oversee individual teams, referees officiate games, and staff provide program oversight.
- Option 2 (Lower Numbers): All players in one group, then split into teams based on numbers at the field on game day. Parent coach support, referees for games, and staff program oversight.

What to Expect
Our Cascadia Divisions 1 & 2 program is designed for U11–U18 players (born 2015–2008) competing within Division 1 and Division 2 teams. This program supports players who are committed to developing their technical skills, game understanding, and overall performance in a competitive team environment.
Players are selected through coach assessments. TCU also follows the Canada Soccer ongoing assessment model, allowing Technical Directors, staff coaches, and team coaches to assess players throughout the season. This approach supports appropriate player movement, including opportunities to play at a higher division or older age group when development and readiness align.
Ongoing assessment also allows for consistent player tracking, supporting long term development and future team programming decisions. If your player would like to be considered for this program, please contact info@tcufc.ca.
Division 1 and Division 2 teams train twice per week and compete in weekend matches within the BCCSL.
Players registered in the Development Stream should expect to travel to away games during the season, with travel potentially including the Vancouver and Richmond areas. Teams may also choose to participate in tournaments, with associated costs managed at the team level direct.

Our Cascadia Division 3 program supports U11–U18 players (born 2008–2015) who are continuing to develop their skills in a structured, competitive team environment. Registration for Division 3 is available to any player within this age group. Teams within Division 3 will train once a week and have a game on the weekend.

Cascadia Division 3 (Under 11–U18)
What to Expect
Our Cascadia Division 3 program supports U11–U18 players (born 2008–2015) who are continuing to develop their skills in a structured, competitive team environment.
Players in this program are evaluated throughout the season using the Canada Soccer ongoing assessment model. This allows coaches and technical staff to monitor player development and, where appropriate, provide opportunities for movement within the program in future seasons.
Division 3 teams train once per week and compete in weekend matches. Players in this stream should expect travel to away games, potentially including Vancouver or Richmond. Tournament participation is optional and, if pursued, is organized at the team level, including fundraising or covering associated costs.

The Foundation Phase Community program is for our Under 8 to Under 10 players. This program will emphasize player retention, development and coach development. This Community Stream is open to all players and focuses on technical development, small-group training, and weekly match play without fixed teams. Players train once per week and participate in a weekend game session.

Foundation Phase Community (U8–U10)
What to Expect
The Foundation Phase Community program is designed to support the development of players aged U8–U10 in a fun, engaging, and structured environment aligned with Canada Soccer’s national principles.
This Community Stream is open to all players and focuses on technical development, small-group training, and weekly match play without fixed teams. Players train once per week and participate in a weekend game session. Activities are station-based and emphasize ball mastery, teamwork, and enjoyment.
A more advanced Development Stream is available by invitation or assessment for players showing strong potential and interest in elevated training. If you are interested in having your player assessed for this stream, please contact info@tcufc.ca.

The Foundation Phase Development program is a select-entry program for U8–U10 players, offering advanced training twice a week and weekend matches. It supports player growth and prepares athletes with a clear path toward competitive development through U11–U18.

Foundation Phase Development (U8–U10)
What to Expect
The Development stream of our Foundation Phase program is open to selected players only. Players may be invited through Technical Director selection, staff coach recommendation, or volunteer coach recommendation. This stream is designed to support players aspiring to progress through the development pathway from U8–U13 and beyond. If your player is not currently playing in this program and you would like to have your player assessed, please contact info@tcufc.ca.
Players in the Development stream train twice per week and participate in one match on the weekend. The training is structured around:
- Session 1: Technical Development
- Session 2: Game Understanding through constraints-based training games
Matches will be played within the Cascadia league. Please expect some travel for games within this league. Teams are led by either a parent lead coach or a staff coach.
