Our Sidekicks Program is home to our 3 year old (2023 born) future soccer stars! Each player is required to have a legal guardian accompany them during each session, hence the name “Sidekicks”. This could be a parent or an older family member.

What to Expect

Our Fundamentals program is home to our 2020 born players! In our Fundamentals program, we will slowly integrate specified topics that will help the kids further their development as they graduate into our Foundations Phase programs (Under 8–Under 10).

Our Fundamentals program is designed for players born in 2020 who are beginning to transition into more structured development. This stage introduces important technical topics such as ball mastery, dribbling, passing, and shooting through engaging, play based sessions that keep soccer fun and accessible.
The goal is to build upon the foundation laid in our earlier programs (Sidekicks and Happy Feet), while gently preparing players for our Foundations Phase programs (U8–U10). Sessions are designed to connect fun and learning to help develop both confidence and skill.

Soccer Fitness Academy

Soccer Fitness Academy (U10–U16)
What to Expect
The Soccer Fitness Academy is a player centred program designed to support long term athlete development and progression within the sport. This curriculum integrates targeted, evidence based training to build the strength, speed, power, and movement efficiency required at higher levels of competition. This academy focuses on developing the athletic qualities that directly transfer to match performance while helping reduce common non contact injuries in youth soccer.
Led by Sheri Hanson, TCU’s Strength & Conditioning Coach, sessions are tailored by age, gender, and ability, and emphasize:
- Strength & Mobility: Building muscular balance and joint stability at the ankle, knee, hip, and core to support performance and durability.
- Speed, Power & Agility: Acceleration, deceleration, and multi directional movement training that reflects the true demands of the game.
- Movement Technique: Refinement of sprinting, jumping, landing, squatting, lunging, and change of direction mechanics.
- Neuromuscular Control: Balance, coordination, and body control training to improve efficiency and reduce injury risk.
This program is ideal for players looking to progress through competitive levels and establish the physical capacity needed to train and compete consistently.

Community Kicks

Community Kicks is an in house Chilliwack community league for U11–U14 players. Players are placed on teams based on their local community and participate in scheduled Saturday games using a 7v7 format. The program provides a recreational and accessible league experience focused on teamwork, player development, and enjoying soccer close to home.

Community Kicks League (Under 11–U14)
What to Expect
Welcome to the TCU Community Kicks League, an in house Chilliwack community league designed for U11–U14 players. The program provides a recreational and accessible league experience where local communities compete in scheduled Saturday games using a 7v7 format.
Players will be placed on teams based on the community where they live. TCU will aim to form teams representing Fairfield, Rosedale, Sardis, Promontory, Yarrow, and Greendale. If one community has enough registrations, more than one team may be formed. If another community has lower registration numbers, players may be placed with a nearby community team.
TCU will provide a set schedule for participating teams and families. Games will follow BC Soccer 7v7 rules, referees will officiate matches, and scores will be recorded for league standings and an end of season cup competition.
Each community team will require a volunteer head coach to guide, communicate with, and manage the team throughout the season. Staff coaches will provide oversight on training and game days, assist coaches where needed, prepare fields, and support the overall operation of the league.

Adaptive Program

Our Adaptive Program provides children and youth who are neurodiverse or have diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other developmental and cognitive differences, with a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment to enjoy soccer. While the program is designed to support a wide range of individual needs and abilities, it is open to all children who may benefit from a more adaptive and understanding approach to sport.

What to Expect
Our Development Divisions 1 & 2 program is designed for U11–U13 players (born 2016–2014) competing within Division 1 and Division 2 teams. This program supports players who are committed to developing their technical skills, game understanding, and overall performance in a competitive team environment.
Players are selected through coach assessments. TCU also follows the Canada Soccer ongoing assessment model, allowing Technical Directors, staff coaches, and team coaches to assess players throughout the season. This approach supports appropriate player movement, including opportunities to play at a higher division or older age group when development and readiness align.
Ongoing assessment also allows for consistent player tracking, supporting long term development and future team programming decisions. If your player would like to be considered for this program, please contact info@tcufc.ca.
Division 1 and Division 2 teams train twice per week and compete in weekend matches within the BCCSL.
Players registered in the Development Stream should expect to travel to away games during the season, with travel potentially including the Vancouver and Richmond areas. Teams may also choose to participate in tournaments, with associated costs managed directly at the team level.

What to Expect
Our Development Division 3 program supports U11–U13 players (born 2016–2014) who are continuing to develop their skills in a structured, competitive team environment.
Players in this program are evaluated throughout the season using the Canada Soccer ongoing assessment model. This allows coaches and technical staff to monitor player development and, where appropriate, provide opportunities for movement within the program in future seasons.
Division 3 teams train once per week and compete in weekend matches. Players in this stream should expect travel to away games, potentially including Vancouver or Richmond. Tournament participation is optional and, if pursued, is organized at the team level, including fundraising or covering associated costs.

The Foundations Phase Community program is for our Under 8 to Under 10 players. This Community Stream is open to all players and focuses on technical development, small group training, and weekly match play without fixed teams. Players train once per week and participate in a weekend game session, with activities emphasizing ball mastery, teamwork, and enjoyment.

The Foundations Phase Development program is a select entry program for U8–U10 players, offering advanced training twice per week and weekend matches. It supports player growth and provides a clear pathway toward competitive development through U11–U18.

Foundations Phase Development (U8–U10)
What to Expect
The Development stream of our Foundations Phase program is open to selected players only. Players may be invited through Technical Director selection, staff coach recommendation, or volunteer coach recommendation. This stream is designed to support players aspiring to progress through the development pathway from U8–U13 and beyond. If your player is not currently playing in this program and you would like to have your player assessed, please contact info@tcufc.ca.
Players in the Development stream train twice per week and participate in one match on the weekend. The training is structured around:
- Session 1: Technical Development
- Session 2: Game Understanding through constraints based training games
Please expect some travel for games within this league. Teams are led by either a parent lead coach or a staff coach.

Our Development Teams program is designed for U14–U18 players (born 2013–2009) who are seeking a more competitive soccer environment focused on technical development, game understanding, and overall player performance. Division 1 teams are formed through player assessments and/or coach invitation, with placement determined based on a player’s demonstrated ability, commitment, and developmental needs. Our Division 1 teams practice three times a week.

What to Expect
Our Development Teams program is designed for U14–U18 players (born 2013–2009) who are looking to develop their technical skills, game understanding, and overall performance within a competitive team environment.
Division 1 teams are formed through player assessments and/or coach invitation. TC United follows the Canada Soccer ongoing assessment model, allowing Technical Directors, staff coaches, and team coaches to evaluate player development throughout the season. This approach supports appropriate player movement, including opportunities to compete at a higher division or older age group when development and readiness align. Our Division 1 teams practice three times a week.
Players registered in the Development Stream should expect to travel to away matches throughout the season, including locations within the Fraser Valley, Vancouver, and Richmond regions. Development Div. 2 & 3

Our Development Teams program is designed for U14–U18 players (born 2013–2009) who are seeking a competitive soccer environment focused on technical development, game understanding, and overall player performance. Division 2 and Division 3 teams are formed through player assessments and/or coach invitation, with placement determined based on a player’s demonstrated ability, commitment, and developmental needs. Our Division 2 and Division 3 teams practice two times a week.

Development Divisions 2 & 3 (Under 14–U18)
What to Expect
Our Development Teams program is designed for U14–U18 players (born 2013–2009) who are looking to develop their technical skills, game understanding, and overall performance within a competitive team environment.
Division 2 teams are formed through player assessments and/or coach invitation. TC United follows the Canada Soccer ongoing assessment model, allowing Technical Directors, staff coaches, and team coaches to evaluate player development throughout the season. This approach supports appropriate player movement, including opportunities to compete at a higher division or older age group when development and readiness align.
Division 3 teams are open for registration and do not require a player assessment. This program provides players with a competitive team environment while continuing to focus on skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game.
Both Division 2 and Division 3 teams train twice per week and compete in weekend matches within the BCCSL.
Players registered in the Development Stream should expect to travel to away matches throughout the season, including locations within the Fraser Valley, Vancouver, and Richmond regions. Teams may also choose to participate in tournaments, with any associated costs managed directly at the team level.

Registrar / Administrative Assistant
TCU is seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Registrar / Administrative Assistant to support the club’s day to day operations and membership services. Working closely with the Executive Director and Technical Director, this position serves as a key point of contact for players, families, coaches, and volunteers.
Responsibilities include managing registrations, responding to member inquiries, maintaining records, supporting club programming, and assisting with administrative operations throughout the season. The role is based at the Tzeachten Chilliwack United FC (TCU) Head Office in Chilliwack and offers 25 hours per week, with additional hours available during peak registration periods.
